“The project is called Lighten Up, and is a response to the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act (SOCPA) 2005; this is a law that prohibits protest within a 1km radius around the Houses of Parliament. Lighten Up uses long exposure on a digital camera and a light source to capture protest written in the air. The protest is not visible until it is captured on camera, therefore, is the ultimate night-time protest tool to challenge SOCPA”
